Today my GHDs met with a fatal accident at the hands of my husband.  I am a hair straightener addict and I need these in my life!!  I dread the next hair wash without these:(

Unfortunately I am a bit broke at the moment so can anyone recommend me a pretty decent but much cheaper set of hair straighteners?  I need something to keep me going until I can afford new GHDs.

Thanks in advance for your help xx

Yes To Carrots Body Butter Review

I was recently sent the Yes To Carrots Body Butter to sample.  As a person with very dry skin this was right up my street and a bonus that I love Body Butters.

This is a gorgeous creamy body butter with a very light scent.  It sinks into the skin really well and is not greasy.  It doesn't leave any unwanted residue on clothes.  I apply this after every shower and my skin is in really good condition at the minute.  I have very dry skin on my legs, so this is where I concentrate the application of the product.  I've got to get those pins ready for summer!!

The fact that this body butter has a very light scent is great too.  It leaves me free to add my own perfume if I want to and it will not create a horrible smell with the intermingling of the 2 scents.  Sometimes I hate when body butters/lotions have really strong, overpowering smells which mean that you can't wear perfume at the same time.  These are best for night time use as I love having a bath at night, applying the body lotion/butter and smelling gorgeous in bed:)  They are also great if you're not a perfume lover.  However, if you are a perfume lover then the Yes To Body Butter is perfect for you.

It retails at £8.99 and is available from many different sources, including Amazon and Asos.  Perfect for preparation for summer!!

Things Used Up So Far in 2011

At the start of the year I decided to keep a wee list of things that I have used up so far this year.  I have been keeping this list updated in my iPhone.

So here are the items so far for the first quarter of the year:

Ok, so it's not very impressive but I have so much stuff it takes me forever to get through it.  Hopefully by the end of this quarter I will have doubled it;)

Mother's Day

Today is Mother's Day in the UK and this morning I received a beautiful bunch of flowers.

I love the colour of these and they look beautiful in the kitchen.

I was also made my breakfast by my kids.  My daughter, who is 6, made me a huge bowl of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes (my favourite cereal) and my son, who is 9, made me some toast.  Simple stuff that was easy for them to do and very much appreciated by me:)

I hope you all have had a lovely day too xx
